Counterpoise Services Apprentice

Job Summary: PNODE is seeking an entry-level Counterpoise Services Apprentice to support the construction, maintenance, and operation of high-voltage transmission/distribution systems for electric utility sector. The Apprentice will work under the guidance of experienced journeymen and foremen to gain hands-on experience and technical knowledge in the electric utility sector. Personal and public safety will be very important as this work needs to be performed along cross-country transmission lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the Install, inspect and repair grounding systems and transmission/distribution lines, (overhead and underground).
  • Locate and validate work zones using GIS, survey reports, and internal system data.
  • Interpret blueprints, below-grade surveys, and staking sheets to execute tasks with precision.
  • Conduct job hazard assessments and adapt work based on weather and terrain conditions.

The Relay Technician will be responsible for the installation, testing, inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair of protective relays, control systems, and associated electrical equipment in substations, power plants, and industrial facilities. Responsibilities:
